A delegation led by Deputy Director Pan Aihua of Raw Material Division of MIIT visits Ningbo

From March 11 to 13, a delegation composed of Pan Aihua, Deputy Director of Raw Material Division of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China, Zhao Jungui, Deputy Director of China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, Li Defang, Director of Information Division of SINOPEC and Qi Xueyang, President of PCITC, visited Ningbo for research on intelligent factory construction and development of the petroleum and chemical industry and their industrial new materials.

The delegation visited Zhenhai Branch, Sinopec, Total Ningbo Office, Juhua Group Corporation, Zhejiang Taixian New Material Co., Ltd. and Ningbo Zhetie Daphoon Chemical Co., Ltd. learning latest development of these enterprises on intelligent factory construction and communicated with representatives of the Administrative Committee of Ningbo Petrochemical Economic and Technological Development Zone on how to develop smart industrial parks. Deputy Director Pan fully affirmed the development of the petroleum and chemical industry and construction of intelligent factory construction. He emphasized that information technology is a necessity for further development and promotion of deeper fusion of industrialization and information technology is a must for coordinative development of intelligent factory, smart industrial park and smart city, that enterprises should also pay high attention to perfect industrial chain and circular economy and further strengthen development of new materials for the petroleum and chemical industry, that enterprises are supposed to always bear in mind being safe and environment-friendly. A representative from Ningbo Haiyue New Material Co., Ltd. made a report to Deputy Director Pan on production of isooctane and on how isooctane is able to improve oil quality and reduce emissions and wished that MIIT is to coordinate with other relevant departments such as Development and Reform Commission and Ministry of Finance on promotion of isooctane’s application in refined oil. The delegation also went to Ningbo Institute of Industrial Technology, CAS and visited graphene materials, carbon fiber and composite materials, lithium manganese oxide materials for new energy.

During the delegation’s visit in Ningbo, Deputy Director Pan also summoned representatives of those petroleum and chemical industrial parks in Zhejiang Province, such as Ningbo Petrochemical Economic and Technological Development Zone, Ningbo Daxie Development Zone and Hangzhou Bay Shangyu Economic and Technological Development Zone, and key enterprises on petroleum and chemical production, such as Sinopec Zhenhai Branch, Juhua Group and Hangzhou Zhongce Rubber Co., Ltd. for a semiar, learning economic operation status in 2014 and the first two months of 2015, putting forth that “13th Five-Year” Planning for the industry should be well planned, industrial parks’ development better standardized, safety insurance and energy consumption reduction and emission reduction strengthened, development should rely on technological innovation for in-depth fusion of industrialization and information technology.
