The China (Ningbo) International Green Petrochemical and New Material Development Conference held in Ningbo

In order to accelerate the development of the green petrochemical and new material industry and create a world-famous first-class industrial cluster, the China (Ningbo) International Green Petrochemical and New Material Development Conference was held in Ningbo on October 26. Chen Bingrong, Vice Mayor of the Ningbo City, attended the conference and delivered a speech.

In his speech, Chen Bingrong pointed out that the petrochemical industry is a traditional advantageous industry in Ningbo. At present, an industrial system with large refining and ethylene as the leader and coordinated development of organic chemical raw materials, synthetic materials and downstream chemicals has been basically established. Ningbo has built the country’s largest public chemical terminal and the largest crude oil terminal, gathered a number of industrial leaders and multinational enterprises such as the Sinopec Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Company, Wanhua Chemical Group Co., Ltd. and Nouryon, and built a number of innovative platforms such as the Ningbo Research Institute of Dalian University of Technology, Sinopec Ningbo New Materials Research Institute and Wanhua New Materials Research Institute and so on. The primary processing capacity of crude oil reaches 35 million tons per year, and the scale of crude oil processing capacity, refined oil, PTA, MDI and other petrochemical products takes the lead in China.

At present, Ningbo is focusing on high-quality development and making every effort to build a trillion-level green petrochemical industrial cluster and a symbolic industrial chain of new chemical materials. Chen Bingrong hoped that participating local enterprises can seize this rare high-level exchange and cooperation opportunity, strengthen learning and exchanges, accelerate high-end, high-quality and efficient development, and jointly build an international first-class green petrochemical industrial base.

As the first important event of the China Petroleum & Chemical International Conference 2021, the China (Ningbo) International Green Petrochemical and New Material Development Conference invited Fu Xiangsheng, Vice President of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, Hu Fangyuan, Professor of the Dalian University of Technology, Xu Wenhua, Deputy Director of the Administration Committee of Ningbo Petrochemical Economic and Technological Development Zone, Mo Dingge, the representative Secretary of the Party Committee of the Sinopec Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Company, Sun Ying, Sales Manager of Nouryon North Asia Region, made keynote speeches to jointly feel the trend of the industry, share successful experience, and discuss new paths for high-quality development of the green petrochemical and new material industry.
