Ningbo fashion trend rises for a brighter future: Opening Ceremony of the Fashion Ningbo 2024 & the 28th Ningbo International Fashion Festival held

In the morning of October 23, 2024, the Fashion Ningbo 2024 & the 28th Ningbo International Fashion Festival (hereinafter referred to as the Fashion Festival) opened at the Nanyuan Hotel in Ningbo. Chen Dapeng, Vice President of the China National Textile & Apparel Council and President of the China National Garment Association, Cao Xuejun, former first level counsel of the Consumer Goods Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China and a member of the China Textile Industry Federation Expert Advisory Committee, and other leaders from national level associations, as well as Li Guanding, Vice Mayor of the Ningbo City, and Zhang Shifang, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Ningbo Municipal Committee and Secretary of the Party Group of the Ningbo Municipal Economic and Information Technology Bureau, attended the opening ceremony.

Li Guanding, Vice Mayor of the Ningbo City, delivered a speech and announced the opening of the Fashion Ningbo 2024 & the 28th Ningbo International Fashion Festival.

Vice Mayor Li Guanding pointed out in his speech that Ningbo is the birthplace of modern clothing industry, especially since the reform and opening-up, that a large number of textile and clothing enterprises have carried forward the excellent inheritance of "Hongbang Tailors", woven the prosperous scene of "Ningbo-style clothing", and that Ningbo has cultivated domestic and global well-known brands such as Youngor, PeaceBird, and Shanshan, etc.. At present, the fashion textile and clothing industry in Ningbo has formed a relatively complete industrial system, constructing a development pattern of characteristic aggregation and regional coordination, and the industrial development ranks the first among similar cities in China. He hoped that Ningbo will take this event as a new starting point, continue to build a fashion industry platform, enterprises, and brands with urban influence and industrial creativity, and better promote the deep integration of the industrial chain, innovation chain, capital chain, and talent chain.

In order to promote the quality and upgrading of the clothing industry in Ningbo, the China National Garment Association and the Ningbo Municipal Economic and Information Technology Bureau signed a strategic cooperation agreement at the opening ceremony to jointly promote the innovative development of the fashion clothing industry in Ningbo. Both sides will rely on their respective advantageous resources to strengthen cooperation in technology research and development, talent cultivation, market expansion, and jointly create a fashion clothing industrial cluster with international competitiveness. The joint construction of China Business Suit Industrial Service Platform was also launched simultaneously, injecting strong impetus into and support for the transformation, upgrading, and high-quality development of China's business suit industry.

This year's Fashion Festival is the first fashion festival after market-oriented transformation in accordance with national, provincial, and municipal deployment requirements, following the principle of "strictly following, standardizing and clarifying, based on the market, and stable development", adhering to the concept of relying on industry, serving industry, and enhancing industry, focusing on enterprise needs, integrating various resources, taking "Ningbo fashion trend rises for a brighter future" as the annual theme, taking the China Business Suit Industry Conference as the core activity, setting up three series of activities on aspects of the industry, themes, and enterprises to creating an important commercial and exchange platform for the fashion industry, and promoting the stable and orderly development of the fashion industry. This fashion festival is also included in the "Variety Increase, Quality Improvement and Brand Building" National Tour of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in 2024 for the development of the consumer goods industry and the National Textile and Clothing Premium Supply Promotion and Upgrading Activity of 2024.

After the opening ceremony, the China Business Suit Industry Conference 2024 (hereinafter referred to as the Conference), hosted by the China National Garment Association and undertaken by the Business suit Committee of the China National Garment Association and the Ningbo Garment Association, also kicked off. As an important component of the textile and clothing industry, business suit is a comprehensive reflection of the technological and cultural creativity, as well as the collaborative innovation power of the industrial chain of China's textile and clothing industry. It demonstrates the combination of technology and art, the unity of function and aesthetics, and is deeply rooted in the advantages of the industrial system and integrated innovation capability. This Conference will last for two days, with the theme of "Gathering Strength and Innovation for a Win-win Future". Through various activities such as themed forums, business docking, and exhibition displays, etc., the Conference aims to create a comprehensive service platform focusing on the field of business suit that integrates intelligent collision, direction guidance, exhibition and communication, and docking and negotiation, to provide intellectual support and power source for the innovative development of industrial enterprises, and to promote the high-quality development of the business suit industry.
