The Ningbo Enterprise Chief Data Officer Summit Forum 2024 held

In the afternoon of June 5, the Ningbo Enterprise Chief Data Officer Summit Forum 2024 was held in Ningbo to deepen the implementation of the "No.1 Development Project" for digital economy innovation and improvement, explore the integration role of new production factors such as data in the development of the real economy, and accelerate the construction of a national benchmark city for the integration of data and real economy. Fu Yongbao, Research Consultant Level I of the Digital Economy Division of the Information Technology Development Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, attended the forum and delivered a speech, while Tu Jiong, Deputy Director of the Ningbo Municipal Economic and Information Technology Bureau, attended the event.

Fu Yongbao emphasized that promoting the construction of a Chief Data Officer system is a long-term and systematic work that requires joint participation and cooperation from all sectors. It's hoped that Zhejiang and Ningbo will continue to take the lead and provide more and better local experience for the national industrial data element value improvement. Fu put forward four pieces of suggestion for the next step of work. Firstly, to strengthen overall planning. Implement the decisions and deployments of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, develop relevant guiding documents, and promote the high-quality development of the Chief Data Officer system. Secondly, to focus on practical application. Encourage key regions, industries, and backbone enterprises with a solid foundation in industrial digitization, strong willingness to promote, and urgent needs to take the lead and form practical and promotable experience and models as soon as possible, and accelerate the popularization and deepening of the Chief Data Officer system. Thirdly, to accelerate team construction. Collaborate with forces of manufacturing, education, research and application to jointly carry out the evaluation of and develop a training system for talents such as Chief Data Officers, and accelerate the establishment of a team of data practitioners with data thinking. Fourthly, to build a favorable development ecosystem. Widely mobilize various social resources, do a good job in publicity and mobilization through multiple channels and forms, and actively create a favorable atmosphere for the continuous and in-depth promotion of the construction of the Chief Data Officer system in the whole society.

Tu Jiong stated in her speech that in recent years, Ningbo has deeply implemented the "No.1 Development Project" of digital economy innovation and improvement, actively carried out pilot projects in three major fields, namely data resource system construction, innovation scenario construction, and data integration and circulation, and focused on stimulating the value of industrial data, having achieved significant results in stages. Firstly, the application scenarios have been continuously enriched, and the "Ten Sceneries, Hundred Products, and Thousand Items" initiative has been innovatively launched, with a total of over 350 released and a total of over 1,000 scenario application projects; secondly, typical projects continue to emerge, focusing on empowering the value chain, innovation chain, and service chain through data, having formed a group of exemplary projects and representative enterprises; thirdly, the ability of enterprises to use data to create data continues to improve, especially in the areas of industrial product master data standards, the construction of the Chief Data Officer system, and the evaluation of the maturity of enterprise data management capabilities through national standards. The pilot results have been significant. Tu Jiong emphasized that for the next step, Ningbo will fully leverage the amplification, superposition, and doubling effects of digital technology on economic development, build a modern industrial system led by the digital economy, and create a national benchmark city for the integration of data and real economy.

The forum invited leaders of relevant divisions of the Department of Economy and Information Technology of Zhejiang to interpret the Chief Data Officer system of enterprises in the Zhejiang Province; the Ningbo Communications Administration introduced relevant content of national internet backbone direct connection points, and experts from the National Industrial Information Security Development Research Center, the Zhejiang Big Data Trading Center and other institutions, as well as representatives of enterprises such as the Bull and the Jintian, shared relevant information. Representatives from the economic and information technology (digital economy) departments of various districts (counties, sub-cities) and management committees in Ningbo, representatives of member units of the Ningbo Software Industry Association and the Ningbo Municipal Chief Data Officers' Alliance, representatives from relevant industrial enterprises, and media friends attended the forum.
