In order to defend against the third typhoon of this year, "Gaemi", and in accordance with relevant working arrangements for flood and typhoon prevention at the municipal and provincial levels, in the afternoon of July 23, Wang Hui, Deputy Director of the Ningbo Municipal Economic and Information Technology Bureau, led a team to visit a shipbuilding enterprise in Beilun to conduct an inspection and provide guidance on typhoon prevention of unpowered repair and building of ships.

Deputy Director Wang Hui and his delegation inquired in detail about the implementation of typhoon prevention measures at the Ningbo Huanhai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. and the implementation of the "one plan for one ship" work for unpowered ships. They carefully examined the typhoon prevention measures for key facilities such as dock reinforcement and tower cranes for unpowered ships, and provided guidance on emergency personnel placement, site organization, and waterproofing, etc..

Deputy Director Wang Hui pointed out that we must attach great importance to the very work ideologically. During the impact of the Typhoon Gaemi, it is a major astronomical flood season that will encounter adverse effects of wind, rain, and tide. Enterprises must not be complacent and closely monitor the latest developments of the typhoon to implement their safety responsibilities. Enterprise leaders should rely on forward command, strengthen the frequency of inspections and checks on key areas, promptly address problems, and pay attention to their own safety while doing a good job for flood and typhoon prevention. We need to strengthen the submission of emergency information. Enterprises should arrange personnel to be on duty 24 hours a day, and report major incidents to the competent department as soon as possible, so that relevant departments can grasp and handle them in a timely manner.
