Ningbo selected as an area with typical cases for bravely taking on the big responsibility in the province

Recently, the Office of the Provincial Leading Group for High Quality Development of the Manufacturing Industry (Digital Economy Development) issued the "Notice of the List of Areas with Typical Cases for 'Industrial Cities and Counties Taking on the Big Responsibility' in 2024", and Ningbo has been successfully selected. Among the districts (counties and sub-cities), the Beilun District, the Yinzhou District, the Yuyao City, and the Cixi City have been selected as areas with typical cases for bravely taking on the big responsibility in the province, and the Xiangshan County has been selected as an area with typical cases for innovative development in the province. In 2024, the city's industrial added value above designated scale reached 525.4 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 7.7%, which was 1.9% and 0.2% higher than the national and provincial levels respectively. The contribution rate of industry to GDP growth reached 55.1%, and the scale of industrial added value jumped to the fifth place among cities in China.
