The Keystone Semiconductor Mask Reticle Manufacturing Project in service

In the morning of March 19, the Ningbo Keystone Semiconductor Mask Reticle Manufacturing Project held a new product launching event. Wang Zhaobo, Director and Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Administrative Committee of the Ningbo Qianwan New Area, Wang Yidong, Director of Ningbo Municipal Economic and Information Technology Bureau, Cai Shijie and Li Yingzhong, both Deputy Director and a member of the Party Working Committee of the Administrative Committee of Ningbo Qianwan New Area, attended the event.

The Ningbo Keystone Semiconductor is a professional enterprise engaged in the manufacturing of semiconductor mask reticle. Mask reticle is a pattern transfer tool or master used in the photolithography process of microelectronics manufacturing, which functions similarly to the "film" of a camera. As one of the important raw materials in the upstream of the semiconductor industrial chain, mask reticles are carriers of intellectual property information such as graphic design and process technology and so on. At present, China's high-precision semiconductor mask reticle products mainly rely on imports, and the localization rate is extremely low.

From the contract signing on May 16, 2023, the commencement on October 1 of the same year, and the completion on January 27, 2024, till now, the project has been put into production. With the "east wind" of business environment optimization and improvement of the "No. 1 Reform Project", in less than two years, the Ningbo Keystone Semiconductor has made rapid progress and reported many successes. It has completed more than 1 billion yuan of fixed assets investment, with an average effective investment intensity of more than 15 million yuan per mu, having refreshed the Qianwan speed of the digital economy industry.

At present, the Ningbo Keystone has achieved the delivery of 55nm mask reticle products and the opening of 40nm production lines. The enterprise's products will be widely used in the fields of artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, new energy vehicles, consumer electronics and other integrated circuit manufacturing. As a vivid epitome of driving innovation in the construction of Qianwan, the production of the Ningbo Keystone Semiconductor can be regarded as an important part of the New Area's efforts to supplement the semiconductor industrial chain.

At the same time, with the accelerated implementation of the national "large-scale renewal of equipment and the trade-in of consumer goods" policies and the continuous release of demand in the consumer electronics market, the semiconductor and integrated circuit industries in our city have shown a good development trend. In the first two months, the year-on-year growth rate of the output value of semiconductor and integrated circuit clusters reached 14.0%, and the growth rates of new product output value and export delivery value reached 20.8% and 65.7% respectively, reaching a historical high, further driving the double-digit growth of our city's new generation of information technology clusters such as new optoelectronic displays and intelligent sensors and so on. Among the leading enterprises, the Forehope Electronic (Ningbo) Co., Ltd., the Konfoong Electronics, the BYD and others have good performance forecasts, and the entire industry is expected to achieve a successful start in the beginning of this year.
