The Zhejiang Provincial Digital Economy Promotion Conference 2025 & the "Artificial Intelligence + Manufacturing" Field Conference held in Ningbo

In order to implement the spirit of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee's "First Meeting after the Spring Festival", accelerate the construction of an innovative province of Zhejiang, develop new productive forces according to local conditions, deepen the integration of scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation, deepen the construction of the National Digital Economy Innovation Development Pilot Zone, fight the battle to upgrade the quality of the digital economy, and deeply implement the "Artificial Intelligence + Manufacturing" action, the Zhejiang Provincial Digital Economy Promotion Conference 2025 & the "Artificial Intelligence + Manufacturing" Field Conference was held in Ningbo from March 17 to March 18. Zhan Jiaxiang, a member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the Department of Economy and Information Technology of Zhejiang, attended the event and delivered a speech.

At the event, the Department of Economy and Information Technology of Zhejiang deployed key tasks for 2025, including deepening the construction of national digital economy innovation and development pilot zones, strengthening digital industrial clusters, and implementing the "Artificial Intelligence + Manufacturing" action plan. The department strengthened target decomposition, highlighted task measures, and consolidated main responsibilities. The event fully affirmed the achievements made in the development of digital economy in the province in 2024, analyzed the existing problems and the current trends of digital economic development. In his speech, Zhan Jiaxiang emphasized that 2025 is the year when the 14th Five-Year Plan period comes to an end, a crucial year for high-quality development and the construction of a demonstration zone for common prosperity, and also the starting year for deepening the construction of a new round of national digital economy innovation and development pilot zones. We need to anchor the goal of high-quality development of the digital economy to strengthen provincial development, promote the acceleration of the comprehensive strength of the digital economy, promote the increasingly sound mechanism of deep integration between the real economy and the digital economy, increase the added value of the core industries of the digital economy by more than 6.5% year-on-year, and strive to make a number of landmark achievements. The event required that all regions further enhance their ideological understanding, focusing on six aspects of "re-consolidating work force, re-positioning work goals, re-improving digital industrial development, re-improving quality of the integration of the real economy and the digital economy, further deepening artificial intelligence empowerment, and re-enhancing infrastructure". Taking the deepening of the construction of a national digital economy innovation and development pilot zone as the starting point, we should strengthen overall coordination, enhance horizontal and vertical collaboration, raise benchmarks, and strive to create landmark achievements; grasp the "Five Lists" for the construction of digital industrial clusters and build a solid foundation for the digital economy; promote the integration and upgrading of the real economy and the digital economy, and deepen the reform of industrial data value; accelerate the exploration of path models for empowering the manufacturing industry with artificial intelligence and carry out pilot projects; strengthen the upgrading of digital infrastructure and solidify the digital foundation; efforts should be exerted to strengthen the construction of the cadre team, continuously carrying out learning activities, enhancing abilities, serving enterprises with sincerity, and creating a first-class business environment.

The attendees also conducted field research and visits to the HolliCube Co., Ltd. and the Zhejiang Humanoid Robot Innovation Center. The event also organized a symposium on empowering the manufacturing industry with artificial intelligence. During the conference, Ling Yun, a special researcher appointed by the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government, Chairman of the Provincial Internet of Things Industry Association, Deputy Director of the Zhejiang Provincial Intelligent Manufacturing Special Committee, former Deputy Director of the Department of Economy and Information Technology of Zhejiang, and Counsel Level I, gave a special lecture. Hu Jindong, General Manager of the Zhejiang Telecom Artificial Intelligence Center, and Duan Jiang, Senior Solution Manager of the Kingsoft Office, gave lectures on the deployment and industrial applications of DeepSeek and other large models, as well as "AI + government affairs".
