15th Smart City and Intelligent Economy Expo Holds Preparatory Meeting for Concurrent Events

The 15th Smart City and Intelligent Economy Expo (referred to as "Smart Expo") is scheduled to take place from September 5 to September 7 in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. To further coordinate and advance the preparatory work for the expo's concurrent events, the Municipal Economic and Information Technology Bureau held a specialized preparatory meeting in the afternoon of August 5. Deputy Director Tu Jiong attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

At the meeting, event organizers exchanged views on the planning, progress, challenges, and next steps of the concurrent events, centering on the theme "AI Empowerment, Digital Intelligence for Innovation."

Tu Jiong fully acknowledged the achievements in the preparatory work and emphasized that the concurrent events are a vital platform for gathering resources and fostering collaboration. She stressed the need to organize these events systematically in line with the expo's theme.First, refine the plans promptly. Align closely with the theme, focus on key hotspots, address the concerns of participating enterprises and attendees, and ensure high-quality invitations to guests and exhibitors.Second, enhance coordination. Strengthen synergy between concurrent events and the main exhibition, invite professional delegations for exchanges, and collaborate closely with the organizing committee.Third, emphasize uniqueness and effectiveness. Prioritize demand-driven exchanges and industrial development, build on past collaborations, and outline expected outcomes such as cooperative intentions, consensus, and innovations to ensure practical results.Fourth, ensure safety. All organizers must prioritize security, implement events rigorously, address potential risks, and prepare contingency plans to guarantee flawless operation.

Attendees included officials from the Municipal Cyberspace Affairs Office, the Municipal Natural Resources and Planning Bureau, and the Municipal Data Administration, as well as representatives from telecom operators, industrial associations, Baidu AI Cloud, CASU Group, and Zhejiang Ninglv, etc.
