Three Enterprises from Our City Selected for the List of Enterprises Conforming to the Standard Conditions for the Environmental Protection Equipment Manufacturing Industry

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China released the "List of Enterprises Conforming to the Standard Conditions for the Environmental Protection Equipment Manufacturing Industry (2025 Edition)". Three newly applying enterprises from our city, namely the Ningbo Taiji Environmental Protection Equipment Co., Ltd., the Shuiyi Environment Protection Group Co., Ltd., and the Ningbo Kaseen Ecology Technology Co., Ltd., were selected. They cover three major sub-sectors of air pollution control, wastewater treatment, and solid waste treatment. The number of selected enterprises accounts for 42.9% of the provincial total and 4.5% of the national total.

The environmental protection equipment manufacturing industry is a strategic emerging industry and a crucial sector for promoting the dual win of high-quality economic and social development and high-level ecological environmental protection. Since 2016, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China has successively formulated and issued standard conditions for four sub-sectors of the environmental protection equipment manufacturing industry, i.e., air pollution control equipment, water pollution control equipment, environmental monitoring instruments, and solid waste treatment equipment. These standard conditions set requirements for enterprises primarily in terms of business operation levels, technological innovation capability, product quality control, and safety production standards. They aim to regulate industry development order, stimulate momentum for industrial upgrading, promote the comprehensive upgrade of environmental protection equipment from "usable" to "easy-to-use, durable, and green-to-use", and provide more solid equipment support for building a Beautiful China.

In recent years, the Ningbo Municipal Economic and Information Technology Bureau has implemented the deployment requirements of the national, provincial, and municipal governments regarding the development of the environmental protection equipment manufacturing industry. Through a combined strategy of "policy guidance + technological breakthroughs + service empowerment + scenario implementation", it has vigorously promoted the high-end upgrading of the environmental protection equipment manufacturing industry, providing core support for the green transformation of the manufacturing sector. Among the selected companies this time, the Ningbo Taiji Environmental Protection Equipment Co., Ltd. has independently developed the "Steel Slag Desulfurization and By-product Comprehensive Utilization" technology. This technology uses industrial waste slag as a raw material for flue gas desulfurization, and the by-products can be processed into construction materials, offering both environmental and economic value. It has been applied in over 200 projects in industries such as power and steel. The membrane separation technology of the Shuiyi Environmental Group Co., Ltd. is applied in more than 20 provinces and cities across the country, with a daily wastewater treatment capacity exceeding 3 million tons. The Ningbo Qianwan New Area industrial wastewater treatment project constructed in 2024 achieved a COD removal rate of over 95%, becoming a benchmark for "zero direct discharge of wastewater" in industrial parks. The Ningbo Kaseen Ecology Technology Co., Ltd. is the first enterprise in China to apply anaerobic fermentation technology on a large scale for food waste disposal. It holds 164 patents and has participated in compiling 8 industrial standards. Its pre-treatment system has been implemented in over 40 cities including those in Beijing and Shenzhen, with a daily processing capacity exceeding 20,000 tons and a resource utilization rate reaching up to 85%.
