Our City Holds Municipal Industrial and Digital Economy Work Conference

On July 31, our city convened a municipal industrial and digital economy work conference. Vice Mayor Li Guanding attended the meeting and delivered a deployment speech.

The conference analyzed the performance of the city's industrial and digital economy in the first half of the year as well as current challenges, and outlined key tasks for the third quarter and the second half of the year.

Vice Mayor Li Guanding emphasized that during the first half of the year, the city's industrial and digital economy sectors withstood pressure and made steady progress. These hard-won achievements were the result of collective efforts across the city. All localities must thoroughly implement the guiding principles of the 7th Plenary Session of the 15th CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and the 8th Plenary Session of the 14th CPC Ningbo Municipal Committee, identify the critical path of "deep integration of technological innovation and industrial innovation", firmly grasp the core variable of "artificial intelligence", proactively adapt to new circumstances, explore innovative measures, and strive for a strong third quarter to secure victory for the entire year.

Vice Mayor Li Guanding demanded efforts to ensure stable industrial economic growth. Major industrial counties (cities and districts) should take the lead by focusing on key industries, enterprises, and major projects, providing targeted services and support, and employing all possible means to stabilize existing capacities, optimize new growth, and enhance quality. A comprehensive push for manufacturing investment is essential, with backward scheduling and visual project tracking to strengthen full lifecycle management services, ensuring efficient progress and on-time commissioning. Deep integration of "two new" (new industrialization and digital transformation) must be advanced, developing exemplary cases, establishing innovation platforms, and nurturing innovative enterprises based on regional characteristics. Industrial system enhancement and upgrading should be prioritized, elevating the quality and scale of existing industrial clusters, accelerating the cultivation of emerging future industries, and building a powerful engine for developing new quality productive forces. Empowering applications with digital and intelligent technologies is crucial, including full coverage of "intelligent transformation and digital upgrading" and in-depth implementation of the "AI+" initiative. Excellence cultivation and strengthening of enterprises should be emphasized, with enhanced policy support and service guarantees for first-class (leading) enterprises and specialized, fine, distinctive, and innovative SMEs. Intensive and green industrial transformation must be pursued, accelerating the "2070" characteristic development, revitalizing industrial spaces, deepening the Reform of “Focusing on Quality, not just Quantity”, and achieving full coverage of green transformation. Fundamental improvements in workplace safety are imperative, guiding industries, parks, and enterprises to strengthen primary responsibility for safety and rigorously prevent all types of production accidents from happening.

Relevant municipal departments, governments of districts (counties and cities), administrative committees of development zones, and heads of local industry and information technology departments attended the conference.
