City-wide Specialized Training Program on Green and Low-Carbon Development 2025 Held

In active response to the national "Dual Carbon" strategic goals, thoroughly implementing the deployment requirements of the CPC Ningbo Municipal Committee and the Ningbo Municipal People’s Government regarding the green and low-carbon development of the manufacturing industry, and aiming to help enterprises deeply understand the importance of transformation for green and low-carbon development, learn and master relevant technologies and management methods for building a green manufacturing system, and promote the green and low-carbon transformation of industrial enterprises in our city, the Ningbo Municipal Economic and Information Technology Bureau held the "City-wide Specialized Training Program on Green and Low-Carbon Development 2025" from September 25 to September 26, 2025. More than 130 relevant personnel from manufacturing enterprises across the city and from the economy and information technology departments of various districts (counties, cities) participated in the offline training. An online channel was also provided, attracting a cumulative total of over 1,000 person times for online learning.

This training program focused on the core needs of industrial enterprises for green and low-carbon development, inviting senior industrial experts on "Dual Carbon" and green manufacturing to deliver lectures. The course content closely aligned with current industry hotspots and future trends in green and low-carbon development. It provided detailed explanations on topics including "Global Climate Change and Industrial Opportunities and Challenges under China's 'Dual Carbon' Strategy", "Implementation Progress and Accounting Methods of the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism under International Carbon Trade Barriers", "Interpretation of National Green Factory Application", "Construction Pathways for Zero-Carbon (Near-Zero-Carbon) Factories/Parks and Future Energy Development Trends", "Corporate Energy Management and Energy Conservation Practices" and "Accounting for Corporate Organizational Carbon Emissions and Product Carbon Footprints". The aim was to help relevant enterprise personnel systematically build a knowledge framework on green and low-carbon issues and further enhance their capabilities in promoting corporate green development. Additionally, the training program specially invited relevant responsible persons from typical enterprises in our city to share practical experience and typical cases in building green and low-carbon factories, allowing trainees to deepen their perceptual understanding and learn from successful models.

Trainees unanimously stated that the 2-day training offered both high-level policy interpretation and trend analysis, as well as practical operational methods and case sharing. Particularly, the experience sharing session from local leading enterprises provided clear guidance for solving the challenges of green and low-carbon transformation. They expressed that they would translate what they learned into practical actions, formulate green and low-carbon transformation plans based on their own enterprises’ development needs, continuously enhance corporate competitiveness and influence, and lay a solid foundation for promoting the high-quality green and low-carbon development of enterprises and for Ningbo's creation of a National New-Type Industrialization Demonstration Zone.
